The signature sleek lines remain, reinterpreted in thoughtfully sourced fabrics. Bold, volume and exaggerated are all words that spring to mind in describing some of Prea’s new designs that evoke her love of fashion.
Our curated favourites from IN THE MIDST - AMELIE, FRANKIE, ARYA and the fabulous ZOE PANT SUIT have just joined the family we thought we’d share more details of these exquisite styles with you here on the JOURNAL and through Matt Godkin’s editorial imagery recently captured in Sydney.
The Amelie gown is something different for the brand, a step away from the signature Prea James minimal style.
Amelie has a square neck bodice, which has been used throughout the collection, as a feminine and modern alternative to traditional bridal necklines. The sculptural fluted skirt shape, exaggerated puff sleeve (also available without sleeves) and the beautiful burnout organza fabric, create a fashion forward wedding day look that is both romantic and modern.
Arya is a new version of the beloved Arielle gown, which is a long-standing best seller. With her effortless appeal and relaxed nature, she is perfect for the modern-day bride.
Arya has a pleated cross over top, draping elegantly into a low V neckline and cross over back, that allows for a bra to be worn. She can also be ordered with the deep V back like the back of the Arielle and Asta gowns.
The Arya skirt falls beautifully, skimming the hip and flaring gently from the knee down into a modern, elegant train. With a centre front split and detailing of a button and loop feature down the centre front seam. (also available without buttons and loops as pictured below).
Sleeves, need we say more! The Frankie gown was created for the classic but fashion-conscious bride. Her square neck bodice, with panel details, gives a great shape over the bust as well as wonderful support. The circle hem on the sleeve layers, have crinoline sewn to give the exaggerated shape on this otherwise minimal and clean gown.
The Zoe Jacket is a tuxedo style double breasted blazer with clean lines and an incredible tailored fit. The Zoe Pant is a high-rise pant with a gentle flare in the hem and a pin stitched crease down the centre front and back leg.
The Zoe Jacket can be worn with the Zoe Pant as a matching suit or over any of our gowns for brides getting married in the cooler months who want something fashionable to wear over their gown. The jacket is long enough that it can be worn as a mini blazer dress, as pictured here.
We’re calling it, 2021 is the year for fabulous blazers over divine gowns! Just draped elegantly over the shoulders at reception time.
