When I got married, I’m sad to say my knowledge of contemporary bridal brands was remarkably low. My idea of a wedding dress was boiled down to simple ideas about lace and full skirts. While there’s nothing wrong with either of those things, it would have looked a lot more ‘Andi’ to wear something with clean, minimal lines, in timeless silk.
Had I known about the brilliance of Prea James Bridal, I might’ve been slinging a different kind of skirt around on my wedding dance floor. Nevertheless, Prea exists now and forever for all you stylish brides who fancy a walk down Timeless Modern Bridal Lane.

There are eight incredible gowns to choose from, all boasting a different way to speak your wedding day style with effortless beauty and ease.

Harmonious lines and textures are paired with well thought out design details to create an 8-piece collection of gowns that are elegant, sophisticated and modern. Beautiful quality silks in flattering, feminine silhouettes and intricately embellished tulles in relaxed elegant styles, such as the Paradis gown.
“I love to take fashionable pieces and give them an elegant bridal touch, so that brides will look back on their day with no regrets in years to come” says Prea. “Take the Mira gown for example, a 90’s cowl neck is so on trend, but Mira has a waist seam, some support in the bodice and a billowing train so that brides feel more comfortable and looks really elegant”.
The Elena and Paradis gowns are made from hand beaded and embroidered tulles by artisans in India that the designer has been working closely with. A pearl hand beaded tulle veil is also part of the collection, available in 6 different style options.
The ‘Arlia’ gown has an understated elegance, made from the brands signature matte silk with silk satin lining, which every bride that tries these gowns on, comments on how beautiful the fabrics feel. With her cross over front, low back and elegant strap detailing on the back, this gown is perfect for our Australian brides getting married in the warmer months.
Structured from a beautiful stretch crepe, the ‘Genevieve’ gown is ultra modern and extremely comfortable. Featuring a low V front with diagonal panels in the skirt that create flattering lines and give a tailored look to the otherwise soft drape of the skirt.
